This hybrid position supports both the accounting and financial analysis functions within the organization. Responsibilities include data entry, bank reconciliations, assisting in the preparation of financial statements, supporting audit processes, and generating internal reports to support business decision-making. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a foundational understanding of accounting principles, and a good eye for accuracy. Responsibilities Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded. Update bank and credit card transactions. Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations. Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines. Assist with reviewing expenses. Accurately update financial data in databases. Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports. Compare actual financial results and make comparisons to the previous year. Assist senior accountants in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings. Assist with other accounting projects. Skills Excellent organizing abilities. Interprets financial results to identify key trends, discrepancies, and performance issues. Proficient in advanced Microsoft Excel functions, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and complex financial modeling. Attention to detail. Ability to work both collaboratively and independently. Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices. Excel required. Quickbooks a plus.
