Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Accounts Receivable (AR) Representative to join our finance team. This role will manage a more complex portfolio of accounts and serve as a key point of contact for escalated issues. The Senior AR Representative will lead efforts to ensure timely collections, accurate invoicing, and smooth dispute resolution, while providing mentorship to junior team members. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, proven AR experience, and the ability to collaborate across departments, primarily with Billing and Customer Service. Key Responsibilities Oversee and manage a portfolio of high-value or complex customer accounts. Monitor account aging and lead efforts to reduce DSO (Days Sales Outstanding). Make strategic inbound and outbound calls regarding collections and customer inquiries. Resolve escalated billing disputes with professionalism and accuracy. Analyze account trends and identify opportunities for process improvement. Ensure accuracy in invoicing, payments, and account reconciliation. Support and mentor junior AR staff by sharing best practices and assisting with training. Prepare reports and updates for management regarding AR performance and risks. Maintain compliance with internal policies and financial regulations. Use Microsoft Office tools and other software to document, analyze, and communicate effectively. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance collections and customer satisfaction. Qualifications & Requirements Associate’s degree (required). Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred). 3-5+ years of AR or collections experience (required). Experience handling escalated or complex AR situations. Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and communication skills. Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and meet deadlines. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams). High attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a collaborative mindset. Leadership experience or mentoring background a plus.
