Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in New York, New York. This role offers a hybrid work schedule, with four days onsite and one day remote, providing an excellent opportunity to contribute to financial operations in a dynamic environment. Ideal candidates will have strong communication skills and a meticulous approach to managing vendor and expense processes.

Responsibilities:

• Review and approve vendor creations to ensure compliance with organizational standards.
• Conduct thorough evaluations and approvals of expense reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Perform accurate coding of invoices to maintain consistent financial records.
• Handle data entry tasks related to accounts payable with precision and timeliness.
• Process expense reports efficiently, ensuring adherence to company policies.
• Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies in billing or payment processes.
• Maintain up-to-date records of accounts payable activities for reporting purposes.
• Support the implementation of improvements to streamline accounts payable workflows. Requirements
• Proven experience in accounts payable operations, including invoice coding and expense report processing.
• Proficiency in data entry with a high degree of accuracy.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies in financial documents.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration.
• Familiarity with vendor management and approval processes.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of accounting software and tools commonly used in accounts payable.
