Job Description
Accounts Payable/Payroll Clerk Anfield Interiors New York, NY 10001 Position Summary The Accounts Payable/Payroll Clerk reports to the President and is responsible for providing financial, administrative and clerical services. This includes processing and monitoring payments and expenditures and preparing and monitoring the payroll system.
Essential Functions:
Review monthly vendor statements are unpaid bills. Ensure that only properly approved invoices are processed for payroll. Maintain integrity of Accounts Payable system by checking invoices. Reconcile cash and credit card payments and credits. Process weekly payroll and submit in a timely manner. Collect and verify timekeeping information for all employees Prepare payroll and review discrepancies. Communicate payroll updates to employees Find and resolve any issues or discrepancies in payroll on a timely basis Coordinate payment of 401k annuities on a weekly basis. Maintain databases with new hires and terminations, salary updates, deductions, garnishments, etc. Handle and process all Workers Compensation claims. Process all new hire information. Maintain confidentiality. Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- One to three years of relevant experience preferred.
Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Spanish Speaking preferred but not required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs.
