Manhattan Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Corporate Accounting team. The ideal candidate is organized, proficient with Excel, and comfortable handling data entry and invoice processing in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in property management accounting and with Yardi is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Enter and process vendor invoices for payment, both online and in physical format Verify invoice accuracy and ensure appropriate approval and account coding Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports Post expenses to appropriate chart of accounts Scan and deposit physical checks using Panini scanner; log deposits in Excel Prepare billing entries in Yardi, including real estate tax calculations (training provided) Monitor and apply early payment discounts and address payment discrepancies Maintain vendor accounts and assist in responding to inquiries Assist with internal audits and special projects as directed by the Assistant Controller Perform additional administrative duties as needed

Required Skills and Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; accounting coursework or interest is a plus 1+ year of experience in Accounts Payable or related accounting function Yardi experience (especially Yardi 7S) strongly preferred Familiarity with property management accounting is a major plus Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, data entry, sorting/filtering) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to understand and apply a chart of accounts Experience with AvidXchange is a plus
