Bookkeeper Position Available In New York, New York

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team on a contract basis in New York, New York. This role involves managing essential financial operations such as billing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, as well as supporting data entry and account reviews. Ideal candidates will have experience with QuickBooks Desktop and intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities:

• Process and manage billing activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, maintaining up-to-date records.
• Perform thorough reviews of accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Enter financial data into accounting systems with precision.
• Support ad hoc projects as assigned by the management team.
• Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accounted for.
• Assist with payroll processing as needed.
• Utilize QuickBooks Desktop to manage financial operations effectively.
• Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines and ensure smooth workflow. Requirements
• Proven experience in bookkeeping or a similar financial role.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop is required.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including data manipulation and analysis.
• Strong understanding of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills for team collaboration.
• Familiarity with bank reconciliations and payroll processing is a plus.
