Bookkeeper Position Available In New York, New York

Description We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team in New York, NY. This part-time position offers 15-20 hours per week, spread over two or three days during regular business hours. As a Contract to permanent role, this opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented individual ready to bring their expertise in bookkeeping and financial management to a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and records for multiple clients.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities efficiently and within deadlines.
• Conduct regular account and bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
• Process payroll for clients, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and timelines.
• Utilize QuickBooks to organize and track financial data effectively.
• Provide administrative support related to financial operations and client management.
• Assist with month-end close procedures, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Maintain a disciplined and detail-oriented approach to daily tasks, ensuring all work is error-free.
• Adapt quickly to new processes and systems, demonstrating a proactive learning attitude. Requirements
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related role.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel for financial management and reporting.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes.
• Skilled in performing bank and account reconciliations with high accuracy.
• Experience managing financial operations for multiple clients is preferred.
• Ability to handle month-end close processes and prepare comprehensive financial statements.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing workflows.
