Expense Analyst Position Available In New York, New York

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Expense Analyst to join our team on a contract basis in New York, New York. In this role, you will focus on processing employee expense reports efficiently and accurately, ensuring compliance with company policies. This position offers an excellent opportunity to utilize your expertise in accounts payable and expense management systems.

Responsibilities:

• Process a high volume of employee expense reports each week using Concur.
• Upload receipts and input expense data with precision and attention to detail.
• Apply the correct expense codes in alignment with company policies and accounting guidelines.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies or inquiries related to submitted expenses.
• Manage and prioritize tasks to address a backlog of unsubmitted expenses.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and organizational standards in all expense processing activities.
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to streamline expense management workflows.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for auditing purposes.
• Identify areas for improvement in expense processing procedures and suggest actionable solutions. Requirements
• Proficiency in Concur and other expense management software systems.
• Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and accrual accounting.
• Experience with ERP systems and financial services platforms.
• Ability to accurately code and categorize expenses within established guidelines.
• Familiarity with auditing principles and practices.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills to address inquiries and discrepancies.
• Ability to handle high-volume processing in a fast-paced environment.
