Job Description

Prepare and review complex valuations for private equity, private credit, real estate and venture capital asset classes. Private equity and real estate modelling and analysis generally includes company and asset-level valuation (including discounted cash flow analysis, public company comparables, precedent transactions, cap table analysis); private credit modelling and analysis generally includes calibration of floating yield instruments and determining implicit spread, future cashflow modelling, review of borrower financial statements for changes in credit quality, and may require use of options for non-performing loans; venture capital modelling and analysis generally includes option pricing model back-solve, fully-diluted (IPO/as-converted) methods to value minority stakes in growth ventures. Assess fair valuation of derivatives such as foreign currency forwards, options, interest rate hedges. Ensure compliance with respective registered investment advisor’s valuation policy, US GAAP (ASC 820) or IFRS. Close communication and coordination with external auditors and external valuation firms, providing requested data and resolve audit inquiries. Prepare valuation and summary materials for Valuation Committee, function as a point of contact for deal professionals on valuation preparation and reviews, and participate in ongoing training for continued professional development. Responsible for portfolio monitoring and projections, which involves obtaining and tracking portfolio performance metrics and investment-level attributes in specialized database. Review and maintain monitoring of portfolio company within the database, summarizing financial information from the portfolio for senior management consumption to enhance investment decision making and monitoring borrower credit quality. Apply robust data management skills to summarize and analyze financial and non-financial metrics across the portfolio to address managerial and investor inquiries. Prepare supporting analysis to address investor inquiries, support marketing materials, and participate in investor diligence calls regarding investment performance. Telecommuting permitted 1 day per week.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s in Finance or related field. 24 months of experience in valuation of private equity interests in accounting or valuation firms. Strong valuation technical skills. Intermediate knowledge of debt and equity capital structure. Strong analytical and presentation abilities. Knowledge of S&P product iLevel (aka IPREO).
