Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Syracuse, New York. This Contract to permanent position is ideal for someone who excels in managing financial transactions and ensuring the accuracy of invoices and payments. The role requires a proactive approach to handling accounts payable processes and maintaining financial records with precision.

Responsibilities:

• Process and code invoices accurately, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Perform account reconciliation to verify and resolve any discrepancies.
• Manage check runs and ensure timely payment to vendors.
• Obtain and organize credit card receipts for record-keeping purposes.
• Follow up with team members and vendors to gather missing invoices and documentation.
• Enter financial data into systems with high attention to detail.
• Utilize accounting software such as Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to manage transactions.
• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounts payable processes.
• Generate reports and maintain records using Microsoft Excel. Requirements
• Proven experience in accounts payable or similar financial roles.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel for financial reporting and data management.
• Ability to perform accurate data entry and coding of invoices.
• Familiarity with account reconciliation and resolving payment discrepancies.
• Experience with check runs and vendor payment management.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
