Accounts Receivable Specialist Position Available In Westchester, New York

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Purchase, New York. This long-term contract position involves managing all aspects of accounts receivable and billing for a multi-family real estate portfolio. The ideal candidate will thrive in a detail-oriented environment and possess strong communication skills to handle tenant inquiries and financial discrepancies effectively.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Setup and bill new tenants
• Generate monthly billing file and ensure tenants receive their invoices in a timely manner.
• Field tenant inquiries and investigate questions regarding tenant ledgers
• Process tenant refunds, review and process account adjustments and resolve discrepancies.
• Liaise with collections and property operations team to resolve outstanding tenant issues and delinquencies
• Record ACH direct debits from commercial tenants
• Apply credits for Abatements, Rental Assistance, and Star Credits
• Assist Banking Coordinator and Director of Coop Accounting with any bank reconciliation questions
• Other accounting projects as needed Requirements
• A minimum of five years of experience in accounts receivable, preferably within the residential real estate sector.
• Proficiency in using Yardi Voyager or similar accounting software systems.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Advanced familiarity with Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data analysis.
• Knowledge of CRM systems and financial reporting tools is advantageous.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
