Job Description

Description We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Reading, Pennsylvania. This is a possible contract-to-permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity for growth within a dynamic organization. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing accounts payable processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the finance department.

Responsibilities:
  • Process invoices by matching and batching codes, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Resolve accounts payable issues promptly and efficiently, maintaining strong communication with relevant parties.
  • Manage the preparation, verification, logging, and mailing of checks, including handling special requests.
  • Perform full-cycle accounts payable tasks, ensuring compliance with company policies and financial controls.
  • Assist with both internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and support.
  • Organize and maintain invoices, checks, and other financial documents through proper sorting, logging, scanning, and filing.
  • Handle administrative functions for the Accounts Payable and Finance departments to support day-to-day operations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal business partners, addressing inquiries and resolving concerns.
  • Contribute to additional finance-related projects as needed to support departmental goals. Requirements
  • Proven experience in accounts payable processes, including coding and posting invoices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
  • Strong ability to reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with full-cycle accounts payable procedures.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively.
  • Knowledge of financial controls and compliance standards.
  • Experience in handling administrative and customer service tasks within a finance setting.
