Job Description
Description We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania. This is an on-site Contract position offering an excellent opportunity for individuals who are detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about working in a dynamic accounts payable environment. As part of our collaborative team, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and efficient processing of financial transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Process a high volume of invoices with precision, verifying general ledger coding, securing necessary approvals, and confirming outstanding payments.
- Prepare invoices for scanning and attach follow-up barcodes for items not received through the designated system.
- Accurately input payable information into Oracle based on invoices received via the company’s systems.
- Apply knowledge of the company’s Chart of Accounts to code invoices correctly, seeking guidance when necessary.
- Ensure all required documentation is obtained for payment requests and audit invoices for accuracy.
- Prepare and mail checks in accordance with company policies and timelines.
- Investigate vendor inquiries and discrepancies, resolving questionable invoice items or pricing issues.
- Collaborate with the Vendor Maintenance team to address vendor changes, corrections, and W-9 submissions.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail and meet deadlines consistently.
- Support the setup of new vendors by ensuring W-9 documentation is submitted appropriately. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey information effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Solid understanding of basic math concepts.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate a personal sense of urgency.
- Experience in accounts payable processes, including invoice coding and entry.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Capability to work effectively within a team and independently.
