Accounting Specialist First State Building & Design–FSBD Chadds Ford, PA 19317

Job Summary:

The Accounting Specialist plays a vital role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of First State Building & Design. This position assists with a variety of accounting tasks, including transaction processing, account reconciliation, vendor communications, and administrative support to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of financial records. This is an ideal role for someone organized, detail-oriented, and eager to grow their accounting skills in a dynamic, design-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Support day-to-day accounting operations Process transactions Assist with bank reconciliations and monthly close procedures Maintain and update financial records, spreadsheets, and reports Support the team with various administrative tasks Communicate with vendors and clients regarding billing and payment inquiries

Required Skills and Abilities:

1-3 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Excel, and basic accounting principles Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred Experience in a construction, design, or service-based industry Familiarity with project-based accounting Enthusiasm for streamlining processes and identifying improvements

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer. Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.

$20.76 – $24.57 per hour
