The hourly rate is between $23-25 based on the candidate’s experience and qualifications. The ideal candidate will be proficient in QuickBooks, possess a strong background in accounting principles and practices, with the ability to handle financial data confidentially, accurately and efficiently. Job Duties
- Accounts payable, accounts receivable, bill preparation, bank reconciliations.
- Filing of sales tax, SIMPLE IRA payments, required reporting, etc.
- Communicate with payroll provider, auditor, banks, IRS, and clients.
- End of the month reporting.
- Mortgage & escrow tracking & reconciliations.
- Entries to donor & mortgage tracking systems.
- Maintain the accuracy of the financial records.
- Assist in budgeting & forecasting processes.
- Maintain accurate & up-to-date accounts.
- Filing financial documents.
- Other job-related duties as assigned. Job Qualifications
- Proficiency in QuickBooks
REQUIRED.
- Needs to be accurate with keen attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred but not required
- At Least 5 years of experience in increasing responsibility in accounting roles.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Self-directed, with strong organizational abilities.
- High work ethics and effective communication skills with staff, Habitat families, donors.
Requirements:
- Cover letters and resumes required.
- In consultation with the Executive Director, working remotely can be scheduled for certain days.
- Candidate must live within 30 minutes of the Habitat office.

- This job operates in a professional office environment.

This role routinely uses standard office equipment with a vast majority of the time utilizing computers to complete daily tasks.
