Job Description
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team in Allentown, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will oversee financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. This position is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills and a commitment to maintaining precise financial records.
Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts payable processes, including preparing and processing payments for invoices, licenses, registrations, and repairs through checks, EFTs, and ACH transactions.
- Oversee purchase order management by verifying received materials, reconciling supplier invoices, obtaining approvals, issuing payments, and maintaining organized electronic records.
- Review, match, and process invoices while ensuring accuracy in billing details, pricing, and payment terms.
- Handle accounts receivable tasks, including processing credit card payments through Stripe and preparing deposits.
- Post checks and deposits accurately into the SAGE100 system.
- Implement and manage the Positive Pay process to enhance transaction security.
- Conduct regular account reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist with month-end close procedures, including preparing financial summaries and reports.
- Utilize QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel for bookkeeping and financial data entry tasks.
- Support payroll processing to ensure timely and accurate employee payments. Requirements
- Proven experience in bookkeeping with a focus on accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Proficiency in financial software such as QuickBooks and SAGE100.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to perform accurate account and bank reconciliations.
- Familiarity with payment platforms like Stripe and ACH transactions.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Knowledge of payroll processes and month-end close procedures.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining precise financial records.
