Empire Property Management Group is looking for a Bookkeeper to join our team. Empire Property Management Group is a locally owned and operated company located in the Lehigh Valley. Our core business is the rehabilitation of investment properties, both residential and commercial. This is a fully in-person role.

Holidays Advancement Opportunities Job Description:

The Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with internal accounting procedures. This role plays a critical part in the day-to-day financial operations of the company, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and capable of handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process Reconcile bank and credit card accounts on a regular basis Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities Process payroll and coordinate with 3rd party payroll providers Maintain and update general ledger accounts Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports as needed Support the preparation of tax documents and work with outside accountants or auditors Prepare and present weekly cash flow reports to leadership, highlighting trends, concerns, and projections Ensure compliance with financial policies and relevant regulations Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation

Requirements:
Qualifications:

Proven bookkeeping experience or relevant accounting background Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets Strong working knowledge of GAAP and general accounting practices High level of accuracy and attention to detail Excellent organizational and time management skills Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
