Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. Vision RNG is a leading private equity owned Landfill Gas to Renewable Natural Gas developer and producer. This role is responsible for managing the Company’s outgoing payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in processing invoices, reconciling vendor statements, and maintaining strong vendor relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Process and verify invoices for accuracy and proper approval Match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices Prepare and execute weekly electronic payments Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies Maintain accurate and organized financial records Assist with month-end closing and reporting Communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding payment inquiries Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
Requirements:
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Preferred Skills:
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Business Central, QuickBooks, NetSuite) Familiarity with 3-way matching and purchase order processes Knowledge of GAAP and internal controls
