Description We are looking for a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team in Charleston, South Carolina. This Contract-to-Permanent position offers an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual to contribute to the financial operations of a dynamic construction company. The role involves managing essential bookkeeping tasks, assisting with payroll, and supporting accounts payable and receivable functions.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records, including processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Serve as a backup for payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate employee payments.
- Perform account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial data.
- Manage month-end close procedures, ensuring all records are updated and balanced.
- Enter and verify financial data with precision and efficiency.
- Conduct bank reconciliations to align company records with bank statements.
- Utilize Foundation software to streamline financial processes and reporting.
- Collaborate with team members to implement new financial systems and ensure a smooth transition.
- Generate reports and provide insights to support financial decision-making. Requirements
- Proven experience in bookkeeping, with a strong understanding of accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Proficiency in payroll functions for organizations with 101-500 employees.
- Skilled in performing account and bank reconciliations.
- Familiarity with month-end close procedures and financial reporting.
- Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
- Experience working with Foundation software is highly preferred.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills to collaborate effectively with the team.
