Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team in Charleston, South Carolina. This is a Contract-to-Permanent position within the construction industry, offering an excellent opportunity for growth. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing financial records and supporting payroll operations.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial standards.
• Assist with payroll processing for employees, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
• Support month-end closing activities by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
• Conduct bank reconciliations to verify transaction records and balances.
• Enter data into accounting systems with precision and attention to detail.
• Serve as a backup for payroll functions, ensuring seamless operations.
• Utilize Foundation Software to manage financial tasks and workflows.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth implementation of new software systems. Requirements
• Proven experience in bookkeeping, preferably within the construction industry.
• Proficiency in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions.
• Strong skills in account reconciliation and month-end close processes.
• Familiarity with Foundation Software or similar accounting platforms.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data entry.
• Ability to handle payroll for a mid-sized workforce (101-500 employees).
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
