Finance Assistant Colleton Pillars4Hope 1439 Thunderbolt Dr, Walterboro, SC 29488 Colleton County Alcohol and Drug Abuse “DBA” as Colleton Pillars4Hope is looking for for a Finance Assistant to providing support to the Finance Director and Management Team with a range of tasks. The responsibilities of a finance assistant include but isn’t limited to processing payments, updating financial records, managing client accounts, billing Medicaid and other insurance payors and processing invoices. Responsibilities Update financial spreadsheets with daily transactions Prepare balance sheets Track and reconcile bank statements Create cost analysis reports (fixed and variable costs) Process tax payments Conduct patient Medicaid billing Record accounts payable and accounts receivable Process invoices and follow up with clients, suppliers and partners as needed Provide administrative support during budget preparation Participate in quarterly and annual audits perform administrative duties other assigned duties Requirements Work experience as a Finance Assistant, Finance Officer or similar role for nonprofits Good knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures Experience working in ECR and grant management systems Advanced MS Excel skills (creating spreadsheets and using financial functions) Familiarity with accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks) Organizational and time-management skills Attention to detail, with an ability to spot numerical errors , Associates or BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics or 5 or more years experiencing working in the finance field with a nonprofit organization, hospitals or similar organizations. Experience working with people in a human service field is preferred.
