Job Title:
Accounts Payable SpecialistJob Responsibilities + Process Accounts Payable in a timely and accurate manner. + Communicate with and resolve any potential issues with vendors. + Contribute to improvement in processes and procedures with respect to accounts payable. + Audit invoices against purchase orders, identifying discrepancies and seeking approval for payment. + Verify, enter, and post details of business transactions to the appropriate system. + Ensure invoices without POs are coded and duly authorized. + Prepare approved debit memos as necessary and communicate notice to vendors. + Answer vendor queries. + Maintain AP documentation. + Review all unprocessed/outstanding invoices at the end of every month. + Reconcile vendor statements. + Assist with reconciliation of AP-GL accounts. + Provide coverage and support for reception. Essential Skills + Accounts payable experience of 2+ years. + Invoice processing and invoicing skills. + Basic knowledge of Excel, primarily for reporting (cash flow), including copy and paste functions. + Experience with ERP software is preferred. + Some type of lead/management experience, even if not from accounting. + No formal education requirement. Work Environment You will work in a nice facility with amenities such as a garden, porch, gym, and multiple kitchens. The company is growing and steadily acquiring more businesses around the US, providing opportunities to gain manufacturing and accounting experience. You will work in close proximity to three other AP team members, fitting in with the company culture is important. This position is completely onsite with typical working hours of 8-5 and reasonable flexibility. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 – $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
