Reconciliation Specialist Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Reconciliation Specialist. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial records through regular reconciliations, investigating discrepancies, and maintaining compliance with internal controls and external regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of bank, credit card, and general ledger accounts. Investigate and resolve discrepancies or variances in a timely and efficient manner. Monitor transactions and ensure appropriate documentation is maintained. Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., AP/AR, Payroll, Treasury) to resolve open items. Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation as required. Prepare and maintain reports related to reconciliation status and progress. Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulatory requirements. Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance reconciliation efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred). 2+ years of experience in reconciliation, accounting, or financial operations. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and reconciliation processes. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
