Job Description
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a Contract basis in Columbia, South Carolina. This role involves managing high-volume invoicing and data entry tasks in a fast-paced environment. Candidates with strong organizational skills and a passion for accuracy will thrive in this position.
Responsibilities:
- Process a high volume of invoices with precision and efficiency to ensure timely payments.
- Perform data entry tasks, maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
- Reconcile accounts to verify discrepancies and resolve any issues promptly.
- Manage check runs and ensure all payments are processed accurately and on schedule.
- Code invoices correctly to appropriate accounts and verify approvals.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth accounts payable operations.
- Utilize accounting software, such as NetSuite and Business Central, to manage financial transactions.
- Support the team during system integrations and transitions, ensuring accurate data migration.
- Generate reports and provide updates on accounts payable activities as needed.
- Maintain compliance with company policies and financial regulations. Requirements
- Proven experience in accounts payable, including invoice processing and account reconciliation.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Strong data entry skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with coding invoices and managing check runs.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving discrepancies.
