Position Summary:

The Accounts Receivable Clerk will be responsible for managing the dealership’s receivables, ensuring timely collections, accurate application of payments, and resolution of account discrepancies. This role is critical to maintaining strong cash flow and fostering positive customer relationships.

Responsibilities:

Process daily accounts receivable transactions including invoicing, payment posting, and account reconciliation Monitor customer accounts to identify outstanding balances and follow up on past-due invoices Conduct timely and professional collection calls and emails to ensure payments are received Resolve payment discrepancies and disputes with internal departments and external customers Prepare and distribute aging reports to management on a regular basis Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records Assist with month-end closing procedures and audits as needed Ensure compliance with internal policies and accounting best practices

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting or business preferred 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable, preferably in a high-volume environment Experience in a dealership or automotive/truck industry is a plus Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) and accounting software (CDK, Procede, or similar systems a plus) Excellent communication, organizational, and follow-up skills Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
