Accounts Payable Specialist Position Available In Spartanburg, South Carolina

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a contract basis. This role is based in the Spartanburg, South Carolina area and offers the opportunity to support a dynamic team. You will play a key role in managing vendor relationships, processing payments, and ensuring accuracy in financial transactions.

Responsibilities:

• Perform three-way matching to verify and process invoices accurately.
• Reconcile bank statements and address discrepancies promptly.
• Collaborate with vendors to resolve payment issues and confirm outstanding balances.
• Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions in the ERP system.
• Support the team by coding accounts and entering data into accounting software.
• Assist in the review and auditing of financial records to ensure compliance with company policies.
• Process payments via Automated Clearing House (ACH) and other payment methods.
• Train on internal systems to quickly adapt to company processes and workflows. Requirements
• Proven experience in accounts payable or a related accounting function.
• Familiarity with three-way matching and accrual accounting practices.
• Proficiency in accounting ERP platforms.
• Strong understanding of financial reconciliation and auditing processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams.
