Schedule:
Monday-Friday 8:00am•5:00pm Verifies incoming service invoices and payments. Applies customer remittances to outstanding receivable balances. Balances and posts batch totals to monthly summaries. Posts cash, check and credit card payments to the proper accounts, performs reconciliations and prepares bank deposit slips. Obtains credit approvals and provides support to technicians in coordinating residential financing. Researches account history to ensure payments are properly allocated. Reviews credit memos and/or refunds and applies adjustments to accounts as necessary. Researches payment discrepancies and communicates with customers to resolve issues. Balances daily accounts receivable batches and creates reports to distribute to departmental personnel. Reviews accounts receivable aging reports and gathers details on delinquent accounts. Communicates with customers and departmental personnel via telephone, email, and written correspondence to answer inquiries and provide information. Performs basic collection activities by telephoning customers to set up payment arrangements and arrange for payment of insufficient funds. Reconciles and audits accounts for accuracy, makes journal entries and performs other month-end duties as needed. Holds weekly meetings with department managers to review collection efforts on receivables. Prepares related accounts receivable and accounting reports. Performs record management by creating folders, filing copies of invoices and checks and updating information as needed. Assists other departments as needed and completes special projects. Observes all safety and Company rules and regulations in the performance of duties. Other duties as assigned. HS diploma, or GED equivalent, and 2-4 years’ experience in accounts receivable is required. Related experience and/or advanced training or any equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted. Familiarity with accounting principles and practices is required. College-level courses in accounting are desirable. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Maintain confidentiality in all areas of responsibilities. Excellent organizational and planning skills. Basic proficiency with desktop computers and software applications. Intermediate level skill using Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint). • This posting provides details on potential compensation ranges and possibilities.
