Description Our client, a leading distribution center based in Maryville, TN, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join their team. Responsibilities +

Invoice Management:

Pull and process all invoices accurately using a 3-way match system to ensure proper validation. +

Data Entry & Software Use:

Enter invoice data into two separate accounting software systems: JD Edwards and Unilog. +

Accounts Receivable Tracking:

Monitor accounts receivables, including freight charges and tariff-related costs. +

Inventory Updates:

Maintain accurate records of inventory by updating product details, stock numbers, and pricing information. +

Information Reconciliation:

Ensure data consistency and accuracy across multiple platforms and reports. +

Team Collaboration:

Work effectively with the accounting team and other departments for seamless workflow. +

Proactive Task Planning:

Take initiative in addressing priorities and deadlines, ensuring responsibilities are completed in a timely and efficient manner. Qualifications + Familiarity with JD Edwards and Unilog accounting systems (preferred, but not required). + Basic understanding of accounting principles, accounts receivable, freight charges, and tariffs. + Proven experience with accurate and detailed data entry. + Strong organizational and time management skills, particularly in balancing multiple responsibilities. + Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while taking ownership of individual tasks. + Detail-oriented and proactive personality with a commitment to excellence.
