POSITION SUMMARY

The Accounting Assistant is responsible for supporting Elmington’s banking and entity administration needs across multiple lines of business, including One Elmington, Elmington Construction, Elmington Affordable, Elmington Living, Elmington Residential, and Elmington Commercial. This role will establish and maintain banking relationships and accounts, manage periodic filings with state agencies, and assist the accounting team with select accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) tasks. The ideal candidate combines strong organizational skills with a detail-oriented approach to ensure accurate and compliant financial administration. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and leadership. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Coordinate the setup, modification, and closure of bank accounts for all lines of business. Serve as the primary liaison with banking partners Maintain an up-to-date master schedule of bank account signatories, authorizations, and renewal deadlines and entity information Prepare and file reports with Secretary of State offices (and other applicable agencies) for designated entities Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks as assigned Monitor entity status and renewal deadlines; coordinate with legal counsel when amendments or reinstatements are required Collaborates with asset management, property management, and the corporate accounting team to ensure timely and accurate reporting Assists with external audits, tax preparation, and other regulatory filings as needed Continuously seeks opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies Performs all other duties as assigned

SPECIFIC EDUCATION OR EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (or degree in business with relatable experience) CPA certification not required Prior experience in bank account administration, entity filings, or accounting support roles preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

Frequently sit, stand and walk. Regularly required to talk or hear. Frequently required to use hands or fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls. Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Vision abilities to include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Temperature in the workplace is typically moderate, though the ability to withstand seasonal cold and heat of the outdoors is necessary.
