Overview :
We are a rapidly growing company in the fitness industry. We strive to provide an environment where our team members are respected and valued. We are seeking an accounts payable specialist to join our growing accounting team. The accounts payable specialist position will be responsible for all AP activity, including high volume of invoices, payments, vendor communications and monitoring expenses, and keeping a record of it all for tax purposes for 20+ locations. This position will report to the Controller. This is a hybrid role located in Nashville, TN and will be in office 3 days a week and 2 days remote.
Responsibilities :
The accounts payable specialist will be responsible for all full cycle, high volume AP processing and handle all accounts payable transactions, vendor communications and maintain an accurate AP subledger for over 20 locations.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Process all invoices for multiple locations
- Code all invoices in accordance with the appropriate general ledger accounts
- Ensure all payments are made in a timely manner
- Reconcile vendor statements and reconcile any discrepancies
- Ensure that the general ledger and AP subledger are in balance
- Perform year end duties and assist in issuing 1099s
- Provide support for audit and other financial reporting as requested
- Other tasks as requested by the
Controller or CFO Experience :
- Minimum of 2 years of high volume accounts payable experience
- Advanced Excel skills
- Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy are a must
- ERP experience is preferred
- Bill.com experience is preferred
- QuickBooks experience is required
