Bookkeeper Mary, Queen of Angels Assisted Living 34 White Bridge Pike, Nashville, TN 37205 Mary, Queen of Angels “Management Team” is located in the Belle Meade area

  • providing Fiscal and other services to three local non-profit communities in Nashville.

Job Description:

The “Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant” provides confidential accounting and administrative support with a variety ofactivities and related tasks and assists the Chief Financial Officer and CEO with duties as assigned. Offering continual professional and personal growth. The person reports to the Chief Financial Officer. This is a Full-Time position

  • with the option to work 1 day of the week from home.

(after completion of training).

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Reviews and processes accounts payable payments on a weekly basis. Processes bi-weekly payroll, reviewing for accuracy and discrepancies. Prepares analytical reports of payroll information as needed. Files quarterly payroll taxes and produces annual tax forms. Coordinates benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations with Human Resources Maintains employee payroll files. Aids employees for payroll and benefit matters. Prepares monthly vendor payments for benefits. Maintains applicable accounting records in proper order. Reconciles and records credit card activity Assists Chief Financial Officer and CEO as needed. Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

General accounting knowledge. Perform each principal duty satisfactorily and in a timely manner Gracious, outgoing and professional manner; pleasant and clear speaking voice, both in person and on the phone. Ability to understand English well enough to follow written and oral instructions and procedures, accurately type correspondence, and communicate with residents, employees, visitors and guests. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required. Experience with Sage 100 accounting software a plus. Must think clearly and work well under stress while handling multiple demands. Well-developed interpersonal skills; ability to get along with diverse personalities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent required. CMA or CPA certification preferred but not required. Minimum of 3-5 years general accounting experience. Experience with Sage100, Sage Intacct and ADP a plus.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Able to sit in one position for 5-6 hours at one time Able to lift 20-30 lbs. on occasional basis. Able to bend, stoop, squat, twist numerous times daily. Able to speak in clear, concise voice. Able to carry out tasks requiring fine motor skills and manual dexterity.
