Revenue Cycle Management manages a team focused on a series of clinical and administrative processes that healthcare providers utilize to capture, bill, and collect patient service revenue. The revenue cycle shadows the entire patient care journey and begins with patient appointment scheduling and ends when the patient’s account balance is zero. Job Summary The Coding Denial Specialist is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and resolving medical claim denials and rejections related to coding discrepancies. This role ensures accurate CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding to support appropriate reimbursement and reduce denial rates. The specialist collaborates closely with billing, coding, clinical teams, and payers to ensure efficient claims resolution Responsibilities Review payer denials and rejections related to coding issues and take corrective actions Analyze denial trends and identify root causes (e.g., bundling, LCD/NCD mismatch, missing modifiers) Research and apply correct CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes in accordance with payer guidelines and national coding standards Submit corrected claims, appeals, or reconsiderations as needed Collaborate with providers and coding staff for clinical clarification and documentation support Document all denial resolution activities in billing system Monitor aged claims and ensure timely follow-up Educate staff on common coding denial trends and provide feedback to improve documentation and claim submission accuracy Stay current with payer policies, coding updates, and regulatory change Qualifications Strong knowledge of insurance claim processing and denial management preferred. Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance plans, and managed care preferred. Proficiency in billing software (e.g. Athena, G4 Centricity, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills Anticipated hourly range: $21.00- $27.95 USD Hourly Bonus eligible:
