This position supports strong fiscal stewardship and helps ensure compliance with internal policies and external requirements. Qualifications Education & Experience Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. At least 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, preferably in a nonprofit or government-funded setting. Skills & Competencies Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Planful, or similar platforms). Strong Excel and data management skills. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven. Effective communication skills and a professional demeanor. Ability to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team. Work Environment This position is 100% onsite at our Chattanooga office. Standard hours are Monday through Friday, with flexibility during month-end or audit periods. Key Responsibilities Invoicing & Revenue Tracking Generate and submit timely, accurate invoices across multiple departments and programs. Maintain billing schedules and track revenue based on contracts, grants, and services delivered. Work closely with internal program leads to verify services and billing documentation. Collections & Stakeholder Communication Monitor aging reports and proactively follow up on past-due accounts. Communicate with clients, funders, and agencies to resolve payment issues. Document all collection efforts and escalate delinquent accounts as needed.
