Haverhill, MA 01830 Accounts Payable Clerk Haverhill, MA onsite Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and processing all accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and proficiency in accounting software. The Accounts Payable Clerk will play a vital role in maintaining financial records and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. Responsibilities Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments. Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions. Perform general ledger reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data. Assist in month-end closing processes, including preparing reports and reconciliations. Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and answer inquiries related to accounts payable. Ensure compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) regulations and internal controls. Utilize accounting software, such as Quicken or ADP, for efficient processing of transactions. Support payroll management activities as needed. Maintain knowledge of governmental accounting practices when applicable.
