Accounts Payable Specialist Position Available In Hamilton, Tennessee

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a contract basis. This role involves managing invoice processing, payment approvals, and maintaining accurate financial records in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The position is based in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Responsibilities:

• Process and code incoming invoices received via email, ensuring accuracy and timely entry into the system.
• Perform both 2-way and 3-way matching for purchase orders and invoices.
• Conduct regular check runs to ensure timely payments to vendors.
• Track and obtain necessary approvals for invoices and payment batches.
• Collaborate with accounting leadership for AP approvals.
• Utilize Oracle software for managing accounts payable processes and maintaining financial data.
• Handle electronic payment methods.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations while processing accounts payable. Requirements
• Proven experience in accounts payable, preferably within a high-volume environment.
• Proficiency with Oracle or similar ERP systems is required.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, including account coding and financial reconciliation.
• Familiarity with 2-way and 3-way matching processes.
• Experience handling electronic payment methods such as ACH and wire transfers.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
