Our shared resource department supports up to four (4) dealers, managing cash receipts and collections. We’re seeking a dedicated Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team and contribute to the seamless operation of our financial processes.

Position Overview:

As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will report to the Accounting Manager and play a key role in handling cash receipts, collections, and customer account management. This is a hands-on role requiring strong attention to detail and effective communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with field staff on collections, including direct communication with customers. Accurately post daily payments to customer accounts. Handle daily bank deposits using a scanner. Process credit card payments based on customer requests via calls or emails. Research and resolve customer disputes, while providing clear answers to invoice, payment, and account inquiries. Reconcile customer accounts and oversee credit checks for new customers. Review and recommend changes to existing credit levels. Maintain accurate tax exemption records for customers. Post customer invoices and credits efficiently and accurately. Assist team members in meeting deadlines and departmental goals.

Qualifications:

1-3 years of experience in accounts receivable and collections. Previous B2B collections experience is required. Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a fast-paced environment. Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills. Negotiation and conflict management expertise. Proficiency in Excel.
