Position Overview:
Ivy Academy is seeking a highly organized and proactive Financial Officer to oversee and manage the school’s financial operations. This role is critical to maintaining the financial health and sustainability of the academy, ensuring transparency, accuracy, and strategic fiscal planning.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform accurate bank reconciliations and ensure all transactions align with internal records. Manage and maintain compliance with TCRS (Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System) requirements. Oversee operations in Empower, including employee contributions and financial planning tools. Create and analyze investment strategies and financial projections to support long-term planning. Administer summer savings plans to support employee payroll and budgeting across the academic year. Provide financial advisement to school leadership and departments to ensure informed decision-making. Lead and coordinate grant management, including tracking funds, reporting, and compliance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field required; CPA or advanced degree preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in finance, payroll, or nonprofit/educational financial operations. Experience with TCRS, Empower, and grant management is a plus! Proficient in accounting software, QuickBooks preferred but not required, Microsoft Excel, &/or financial reporting tools. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational, analytical, & communication skills. Strong commitment to the mission and values of Ivy Academy. Experience with Non-Profit Accounting is a plus
