Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Clerk Mid South Emergency Medical Services Cordova, TN 38018 • Hybrid work Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in billing and payments, and maintaining strong relationships with patients and facilities . This position requires a solid understanding of financial concepts and proficiency in accounting software. Duties Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely. Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions, ensuring compliance with TennCare regulations. Perform double entry bookkeeping to ensure the integrity of financial data. Utilize financial software, such as TDHB, for efficient processing and reporting. Code invoices and payments correctly to facilitate proper accounting. Communicate effectively with vendors and customers, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette. Assist in the preparation of financial reports as needed. Collaborate with the public accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly. Qualifications Strong mathematical skills with a keen attention to detail. Proficiency in financial software, particularly TDHB or similar systems. Knowledge of financial concepts and principles related to accounts payable and receivable processes. Experience in public accounting is preferred but not required. Familiarity with coding invoices for accurate record keeping. Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills for effective interaction with vendors and customers. Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team player.
