POSITION OVERVIEW

The Accounts Payable Clerk performs a variety of accounting tasks to include analyzing, verifying, and reconciling accounting records to ensure accuracy. Controls the processing of invoices, purchase orders, receiving, expenses, and fiscal reports for daily accounting operations. Explains complex rules and procedures to school staff, suppliers and the general public, as required. Works with school staff to resolve delivery and payment issues to effect timely and accurate supplier payment. Reviews processed transactions, ensuring presence of all required supporting documentation and determining need for additional information in order to meet regulatory requirements. Analyzes transactions to ensure compliance with general accounting principles and audit regulations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Complete invoice match and uploads process on purchase orders Ensuring the timely and accurate coding and payment of a high volume of invoices Work directly with vendors and department leaders to resolve invoicing and billing issues Manage shared accounts payable email ensuring proper routing and prompt and appropriate responses to internal and external stakeholders Responds to all school related written correspondence, phone calls, voicemails, and emails within 24 business hours Continuously assess A/P functions to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and processes Assist in the month end close process Provide support to external auditors as required

Requirements:
