Job Description
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Cordova, Tennessee. In this Contract-to-permanent role, you will be responsible for managing billing processes, resolving customer deductions, and ensuring accurate and timely invoicing. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining efficient financial operations and compliance with accounting standards.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor daily reports to identify unbilled shipments and work with Customer Service to resolve issues promptly.
- Retrieve and analyze Accounts Receivable and shipment data using company systems to facilitate invoicing, credit entries, and deduction investigations.
- Process various billing requests, including Cancel/Rebill, Full Cancel, and Miscellaneous Invoice submissions, ensuring proper documentation and approvals.
- Digitally organize and file shipping records using document management tools to support audits and research activities.
- Record approved credit and debit adjustments related to customer deductions in the company system.
- Compile and maintain comprehensive documentation for customer deduction cases to ensure accurate resolution.
- Ensure all billing and credit/debit processing tasks are completed by month-end deadlines to support financial accuracy.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support the Accounts Receivable function. Requirements
- Proven experience in accounts receivable, billing, or a similar finance-related role.
- Strong skills in account reconciliation and financial data analysis.
- Proficiency with billing and accounts receivable systems and tools.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in invoicing and documentation.
- Familiarity with document management tools and practices.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Customer Service.
- Strong communication skills to address and resolve billing discrepancies.
