Bookkeeper 3.5 3.5 out of 5 stars Memphis, TN 38120 Role Description Are you a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with a passion for numbers and an interest in the commercial real estate industry? Our client is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team and support the efficient management of their financial operations.

Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for various commercial real estate properties, including rent roll, accounts payable and receivable, and property-related expenses. Process invoices, rent payments, and vendor payments in a timely manner, ensuring accurate allocation to the appropriate properties and expense categories. Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of transactions. Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements for management and clients. Collaborate with property managers and leasing teams to track and manage tenant leases, rent escalations, and other financial aspects of leasing agreements. Handle payroll processing and maintain compliance with tax regulations for employees and contractors. Monitor cash flow and prepare regular financial analyses to support decision-making processes. Assist with annual audits and tax filings as required.

Requirements:

Proven work experience as a bookkeeper, preferable in the commercial real estate sector. Solid understanding of accounting principles and procedures, with proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Yardi, MRI) and MS Office Suite, especially Excel. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with various teams and stakeholders. Associate’s degree or higher in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
