Fiscal Specialist Position Available In Shelby, Tennessee

Description + Review and process vendor invoices, ensuring all required documentation is included and approvals are obtained prior to payment. + Reconcile vendor statements by identifying and resolving any discrepancies. + Support tracking and maintenance of documentation related to fixed assets and inventory items. + File, organize, and distribute accounting documents, records, and reports. + Respond promptly to vendor and employee inquiries related to invoices, purchase orders, requisitions, or payments. + Investigate and resolve issues concerning vendor invoices and purchasing documents. + Match paid invoices with payment documents (EFT remittance advice and/or checks), distribute checks as needed, and scan and file all related documents by payment number. + Obtain completed new vendor forms and IRS W-9s as required for new vendors or to update existing records. + Sort and process incoming mail, ensuring all necessary paperwork is included. + Provide assistance during external audits as needed. + Communicate professionally, courteously, and tactfully with vendors and staff. + Ensure all activities comply with established Porter-Leath policies. + Complete all assigned tasks in a safe, efficient manner, following standard procedures with minimal supervision. + Maintain strict confidentiality of all financial information. + Support the team by performing additional tasks as assigned.
