Accounting Clerk/Office Assistant Hale and Hines Nursery McMinnville, TN 37110 Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and assisting with various accounting tasks. This role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy of our financial data and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. Responsibilities Perform general ledger reconciliation to ensure all accounts are accurate and up-to-date. Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with established accounting principles. Assist with accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoicing and payment processing. Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks and Quicken for financial reporting and analysis. Support public accounting functions by preparing necessary documentation for audits. Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and ensure compliance with financial policies. Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes. Utilize UltiPro for payroll processing and employee record management as needed. Skills Strong understanding of financial concepts and principles. Proficiency in accounting software, particularly QuickBooks, Quicken, ADP, and UltiPro. Experience with general ledger reconciliation and journal entries is preferred. Knowledge of financial services and public accounting practices is a plus. Excellent mathematical skills to ensure accuracy in calculations and data entry. Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
