High School Diploma or G.E.D. Minimum of 2 years bookkeeping experience-manually and computer
REPORTS TO
Principal
JOB GOALS
To assist in the administration of the district’s business affairs to provide the maximum services for the financial resources available. To contribute to staff morale by the prompt and accurate handling of all payroll matters.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Maintains a complete and systematic set of records of all financial transactions of the school. Records detail of school financial transactions in appropriate journals and subsidiary ledgers from such sources as requisitions, etc. Summarizes and balances entries recorded in individual journals and ledgers, and transfers data to general ledgers. Prepares financial statements, income statements, and cost reports to reflect financial condition of the school. Traces errors and records adjustment to correct charges or credits posted to incorrect amounts. Computes and records cash receipt summaries. Reconciles cancelled checks with bank statements and verifies bank balance with statements. Prepares reports and checks for proper agencies covering all deductions. Maintains records covering all deductions. Keeps record of staff leaves and absences. Verifies all amounts before and after checks are machine processed.

Salary and work year to be established by Board (220 Day Contract).
