Full-Time Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Specialist with advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) to manage day-to-day bookkeeping and financial operations. The ideal candidate brings a background in period-end close, reconciliations, and a strong sense of operational efficiency and a people-centered approach.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts using QuickBooks Online
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual period-end close activities
  • Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate entries
  • Maintain organized financial records to support audits and internal reviews
  • Assist with payroll administration and benefits tracking
  • Generate and analyze financial reports to support leadership decision-making
  • Support vendor and client communications related to billing and payments
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies Accrual accounting experienced preferred but not required.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including bookkeeping and reconciliations
  • Demonstrated experience with QuickBooks Online
  • Experience with ERP systems and implementation a plus
  • High attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally
  • Experience in HR or payroll administration is a plus
Education & Certifications:

(Certifications listed below are preferred but not required.)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field (preferred)
  • Bookkeeping Certification (completed)
  • Intuit ProAdvisor Level I (in progress)
  • Additional HR or finance certifications a plus
