Full-Time Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Specialist with advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) to manage day-to-day bookkeeping and financial operations. The ideal candidate brings a background in period-end close, reconciliations, and a strong sense of operational efficiency and a people-centered approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts using QuickBooks Online
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual period-end close activities
- Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
- Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate entries
- Maintain organized financial records to support audits and internal reviews
- Assist with payroll administration and benefits tracking
- Generate and analyze financial reports to support leadership decision-making
- Support vendor and client communications related to billing and payments
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies Accrual accounting experienced preferred but not required.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including bookkeeping and reconciliations
- Demonstrated experience with QuickBooks Online
- Experience with ERP systems and implementation a plus
- High attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally
- Experience in HR or payroll administration is a plus
Education & Certifications:
(Certifications listed below are preferred but not required.)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field (preferred)
- Bookkeeping Certification (completed)
- Intuit ProAdvisor Level I (in progress)
- Additional HR or finance certifications a plus
