Job Description

What We Need Corpay is currently looking to hire a Payments Specialist supporting our Comdata line of business located in Brentwood, TN. In this role, the Payments Specialist is responsible for handling all aspects of customer payments in order to ensure accurate and timely posting and application to their respective accounts. How We Work As a Payments Specialist, you will be expected to work in a hybrid environment reporting to our Brentwood, TN office location. Corpay will set you up for success by providing: • Company-issued equipment• Formal, hands-on training Role Responsibilities The responsibilities of the role will include: Posting customer payments to their respective accountsBatching payments for the cash application processApplying and reconciling payments by utilizing supporting detail based on established guidelinesProactively match invoices to payments received in an effort to minimize the aging of receivablesIdentifying payments that are delayed, incorrectly posted or applied and ensure necessary corrections are madeMaintaining and monitoring the daily log of receipts and unapplied paymentsAchieving daily and monthly productivity expectations related to paymentsMonitoring mailboxes and process requests in a timely mannerResearching and resolving payment discrepanciesBalancing the required bank accounts throughout and at the end of each day Qualifications & Skills One year of experience in any related field of accounts receivable, payment applications, customer service, or accounting is required.

A combination of education and/or experience will be considered for the requirements listed above.

Demonstrated proficiency at computer and 10 key typingStrong data entry aptitudeFast learner who follows instructions and responds to management directionExcellent telephone etiquette and customer service skillsGood interpersonal, organizational, and oral/written communications skillsAbility to prioritize multiple tasksAccurate record keeping skillsStrong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentStrong interpersonal skills are needed to professionally discuss payment concerns with customers both internal and externalMust be detail orientedStrong problem resolution and analytical skills.
