MMC). A day in the life. As our Vendor Payables Specialist on the Finance team, you’ll be responsible for processing vendor payables and assisting in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements for Marsh McLennan Agency and its related entities. Your essential duties include reviewing invoices and check requests for accuracy and proper authorization, recording vendor payables in the agency management system, and determining payment schedules based on due dates. You will also review employee expense reimbursements submitted via Concur, ensure corporate expenses are allocated to the correct general ledger, and periodically assess the vendor list for inactive accounts. Additionally, you will record monthly journal entries as assigned, conduct bi-annual reviews of 1099 tax forms for vendors, and perform balance sheet reconciliations. You will interact with high-level clientele and organizational members in a professional manner while providing assistance to other employees and handling various administrative tasks as required.
