Accounts Receivable Specialist Confidential White River Junction, VT 05001 We are looking for a bright, self-motivated Accounts Receivable Specialist to support our sales, renewal, and collections workflow at a private software company. The ideal candidate will have prior accounting and collections experience, preferably in a product-based business that involves a high volume of transactions. This role presents the opportunity for a skilled individual to shape their own success and contribute to the core operations of the organization. Although accurate revenue collection will be an important metric, we strive to build lasting, meaningful connections with our customers, which means service and professionalism are of the utmost importance. Responsibilities The essential duties of the Accounts Receivable Specialist include, but are not limited to: Maintain the daily functions and activity related to a central billing system Calculate and generate consistent invoicing monthly Proactively perform regular account reviews and reconciliations to monitor and prioritize delinquent accounts Investigate and resolve any irregularities Respond to general quote/invoice inquiries from customers Regularly update contact and customer account information Serve as the primary point of contact for procurement and accounts payable representatives Maintain and organize accounts receivable files in a clear and easily accessible manner Document and improve core pieces of the invoicing process Compile ad hoc reports for the executive team Desired Skills and Experience 3-5 years of experience in a bookkeeping or processing role Associates’ degree preferred: accounting or business-related field 3+ years of experience preparing invoices and coordinating collections Proficient knowledge of accounting tools, procurement systems, CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce or HubSpot), and familiarity with Microsoft Office products Ability to prioritize work and manage time effectively, with a high level of accuracy, and keen attention to detail Strong organizational and communication skills, both oral and written Ability to spot roadblocks and effectively mitigate them
Compensation Details:
Base salary to be commensurate with experience Bonus available based on company performance and revenue metrics
