Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Entry-Level Brokerage/Carrier Sales Assistant. In this role, you’ll support our efforts to coordinate timely and cost-effective transportation of customer goods. This is a great opportunity to start your career in logistics and supply chain management, no prior experience is required, and comprehensive training and ongoing coaching will be provided. You’ll learn how to build relationships with carriers, assist with inside sales and account coordination, and contribute to the smooth operation of daily shipments. With guidance and mentorship, you’ll develop the skills to help transportation companies optimize their routes and service, making a real impact on the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
Learn to develop and strengthen relationships with trucking companies through cold calling, lead generation, and referrals Assist in building rapport with carrier contacts, such as owner-operators, dispatchers, and drivers Support the team in identifying and solving shipment issues with a hands-on, solution-oriented approach Communicate with carriers to help secure available trucks and assist with managing existing business relationships Deliver outstanding service to both carriers and customers by learning best practices from experienced team members Ensure accurate shipment information is entered and updated in our systems With coaching, assist in rate sourcing and basic negotiation
