Job Summary:
The Senior Associate in Credit & Asset Management will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional, detail-focused service alongside team members. This role involves generating timely and precise analytical information to bolster the Asset Management platform, covering an array of capital structures (including debt and equity) and property types (such as office, retail, industrial, multifamily, condos, student housing, and hospitality). Interaction with borrowers, equity partners, and client representatives is a key part of the job, requiring excellent interpersonal skills and a professional, urgent approach to communication. The successful candidate will not only flourish in a team setting but also demonstrate the independence and initiative necessary for solo achievements, including the confidence to seek clarity on complex issues or tasks.
Responsibilities:
Analyze, review and follow-up where needed on property level operating statements and rent rolls; Monitoring to ensure consistency with industry and Lender standards. Collaborate with external parties and other Servicing teams, such as Asset Management, Subservicing Compliance and Oversight, to ensure effective completion and reporting of industry required reports such as Commercial Real Estate Finance Council (CREFC) Watch Lists. Review and monitor for remediation and documentation of inspections related items such as Life/Safety deferred maintenance. Analyze underwriting documents and servicing agreements to ensure effectiveness and accuracy in reporting. Provide support for the Freddie Mac Asset Management platform. Respond to inquiries from Special Servicers, etc. and coordinate responses from external Primary Servicers. Responding to ad hoc financial analysis and data inquiries efficiently. Oversee and ensure adherence to quality standards and procedures, identifying and addressing any discrepancies to maintain the highest level of product or service excellence. Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement. Stay updated with industry trends and advancements to continuously enhance team performance and service delivery.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in real estate, finance, accounting, or a similar field required 3+ years of relevant professional experience. Knowledgeable about commercial real estate transactions and terminology. Familiar with commercial real estate valuation methods and principles. Understands different real estate property types and their corresponding lease agreements. Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously and adhering to deadlines. Possesses strong analytical and mathematical abilities. Excellent in both written and verbal communication. Proficient in Argus Enterprise software. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
